Inspiration:
This eye-catching design for the necklace in the Blue Stems range is taken from my larger wall mounted work and maintains the detail and quality of the original ceramic painting (see original artwork in photos). My work is inspired by a love of nature and the colours, lines and patterns within the landscape. I take the inspiration and create semi abstract images to adorn necklaces, brooches and earrings. Each necklace is fired to a high temperature to create a strong yet light and wearable piece of colourful, ceramic art jewellery.
Materials:
A contemporary handmade ceramic pendant made from black porcelain casting slip layered with a white decorating slip, clear glaze and a ceramic decal. The beautifully smooth porcelain clay is 2 - 3mm thick and is finished to a very high quality. A silver plated tubular fitting is attached to the back of the necklace to thread the cord or wire choker through.
Size:
The ceramic element is 50x50mm and the necklace is supplied on a choice of adjustable coloured elastic cord - 70cm or a black wire choker with screw clasp - 45cm.
Packaging:
Are you buying for a gift? This pendant will be sent to you in a grey eco cardboard gift box with a tissue paper lining. The box has a wrap around it with my logo and contact details and I will include a postcard. Please do let me know if you would like a personalised message writing on the card. The gift box is included in the price.
