Contemporary Handmade 'Briar' Porcelain Necklace On Silver Chain

Inspiration:
This colourful design for the necklace in the 'Briar' range is taken from a Karen Howarth Ceramics Small Hanging Tile design and maintains the detail and quality of the original ceramic painting. My work is very much inspired by a love of nature and the colours, lines and patterns within the landscape. This design has a subtle abstract nature and is inspired by wintery bare foliage on a frosty coastal path. The touch of turquoise adds brightness to the frosty whites. Each necklace is fired to a high temperature to create a strong yet light and wearable piece of colourful, ceramic art jewellery. This collection is on a sterling silver snake chain in two different lengths.

Materials:
A contemporary handmade ceramic pendant made from black porcelain casting slip layered with a white decorating slip and a ceramic decal. The beautifully smooth porcelain clay is about 3mm thick and each item of jewellery is finished to a very high standard requiring three firings in the kiln to create the unique surface quality. All additional elements are Sterling Silver. and the chain is supplied on either a 16" or 18".

Size:
The ceramic element is 35x35mm and the chain is supplied as either a 16" or 18" length.

Packaging:
Are you buying for a gift? This pendant will be sent to you in a steel blue eco cardboard gift box with a tissue paper lining. The box has a wrap around it with my Karen Howarth Ceramics logo and contact details and I will include a postcard. Please do let me know if you would like a personalised message writing on the card.
