Contemporary Handmade Ceramic Necklace, Textured Black Porcelain Clay, Green Glaze on cord

Inspiration:
This contemporary handmade ceramic necklace has been made in my studio in Yorkshire, UK. The 'Texture' range of jewellery is abstract in design but I draw inspiration from colours, textures and patterns within the natural environment. It is an exploration of simple mark making combined with a rich green glossy glaze and oxides which seep through the glaze. Each necklace is fired to a high temperature to create a strong yet light and wearable piece of unique ceramic art jewellery. The pendant is strung on a double length of green linen cord and finished with a handmade porcelain bead.

Materials:
A contemporary handmade ceramic pendant made from black porcelain clay. It is layered with white decorating slip which is then textured by hand. Each piece of jewellery is hand finished; the lines and marks being different on each pendant. The beautifully smooth porcelain clay is about 3mm thick and is finished to a very high quality. The necklace is strung on a double length of green linen cord and finished with a handmade porcelain bead.

Size:
The ceramic element is 60x40mm and the necklace is supplied on green elastic cord - 65cm. The length of this necklace is fixed and cannot be adjusted so please check the length.
